Though the company was established in 1923, the advert shown on hkmemory is dated 1941. This building was probably built in the early 1930s, after Hennessy Road was laid out.
I remember there was an advertisement for Raleigh on Wanchai Road for several years. It was on the side of a bicycle shop next door to the CC Wu building.

Between 1933 and 1935, the British Bicycle Co, was located at 30-34 Johnston Road. By 1937 onwards, the Company was relocated to 16 Hennessy Road.
