I bought these two postcards with uprooted trees, most likely a result of the typhoon on 18 September 1923. One was along Nathan Road, but not sure where exactly these places were located.
Those are interesting photos - thank you for posting them. Unfortunately I don't recognise their locations, and I can't see any clues to help. Hopefully someone else will recognise where they were taken.
Really appreciate suggestions from friends on this forum. We at the Hong Kong Observatory are trying to collect historical photos of severe weather in preparation for celebrating our 130th anniversary next year. Hopefully this could increase the public's awareness and preparedness for potential weather hazards.
