If one walks south along Whampoa street to the very end, on the left there is a fence with an open gate shown in the above photo. If one goes through that gate and turn right, it seems there are some steps going down to the sea. It seems in some forums, people can remember many people go there to catch fishes. And then there is this wall all the way to the sea which separated the Whampoa street buildings from the dockyard.

If you zoom in there is a perimeter wall as shown in the photo. I believe part of that wall still exist today.
