What is now significant with this picture is that the massive New World complex behind and around the Regent Hotel has been cleared and the site is being redeveloped with yet another very tall skyscaper reaching for the sky. And that the very popular promenade around the front of the Regent Hotel has been closed for an indefinite period while this new construction takes place.
