My grandfather was a merchant seaman in Hong Kong. Not sure when he arrived but I have a photo of him on the SS Haiching in 1925. He died in 1941 when his ship (Kenton) was torpedoed by a German E boat. My father was born in Hong Kong but returned to England after his was was killed. I'm thinking of visiting Hong Kong February 2025 to learn more about my grandfather and where my father grew up
