Bosun aboard the Admiral Y.S. Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  Liberated September 1945.  From San Francisco, the ship's home port.  Married to M. Maulonis.

Ship's carpenter aboard the Admiral Y.S. Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  Liberated September 1945.  Originally from Stockholm, Sweden.

Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  Liberated September 1945.  From Everett, Washington and/or Mullan, Idaho.  Canadian and/or U.S. citizen.

Harry GOLDMAN [c.1875-1945]

Chief Engineer aboard the Admiral Y.S. Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  Died on February 17 or 18, 1945, and buried in Bowen Cemetery, Hong Kong.  Jewish, from San Francisco, three siblings.

Loren Anthony DISPER [1920-1994]

Radioman aboard the Admiral Y.S. Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  Liberated September 1945.  Prewar, he was unmarried and from Los Angeles.

Oiler in the engine room of the Admiral Y.S. Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  From Los Angeles.  Postwar, buried in Honolulu National Cemetery.

Harold CHRISTENSEN [????-1942]

Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  Died of heart failure, with malnutrition and dysentery likely contributing factors.

Wiper (engine room position) aboard the Admiral Y.S. Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.   Prisoner at Sham Shui Po POW Camp.  Liberated September 1945.  Lived in Oakland, California prewar.
