C. W. Olson & Co. [1925-c.1927]

Short-lived private stockbroking company set up by Charles W. Olson. He had previously worked for Thoresen's the Norwegian shipping company, whose Hong Kong operation was wound up by him and Sverre Berg on 2nd February 1922 after an EGM in the Phillippines on 23 December. The Jurors Lists for 1923 and 1924 nevertheless give Olson as still with Thoresen's.

Anti-Qing dynasty revolutionary and author of The Chinese Republic: Secret History of the Revolution (1924), co-founder (with Alfred Cunningham) of the South China Morning Post newspaper in Hong Kong in November 1903, airship designer and mercantile assistant of Thoresen & Co. Ltd
