I'm intrigued by the story of a Singaporean, Amos William Dawe, and his company, Mosbert, which listed on the Kowloon stock exchage went bust in the 1970s. I think it would make a good book.
Dawe tried to buy several banks in the US, which he later said was a KGB plot. Dawe was jailed in Hong Kong for five years for fraud in the 1980s, but was released after serving just half of his sentence.
Does anyone know if he's still alive, or know anything about him, or know of any good sources of information, please?
Best wishes
Andrew
