Ho Kom Tong had several concubines who were brought to live at Kom Tong Hall. When concubine #5 came along, Mrs. Ho put her foot down and so Ho Kom Tong bought 27 &29 Conduit Road. Yhey wewe combined into one large compound. It was known as "Sai Uk" or "lesser house".
