Hi there,

South Lantau Road started off for the building of Shek Pik Reservoir and the Road from Silvermine Bay to Cheong Sha was completed by 1957.  I would estimate this vehicular ferry pier would also be completed by the latest 1957.  Maybe even a bit sooner as without it those buses and heavy vehicles would not be able to be driven on shore.

Should we settle for 1956 for now?

Best Regards,
