4 May 1944, Leo Landau's wartime diary

Submitted by Grace on

150 officers came in from Argyle St. camp and are billeted in the draft-area compound. Yesterday's paper shows every indication that the SECOND FRONT has started. Our last stretch as P.O.W. is now ahead of us and then it will be FREEDOM. The last three days have been hectic – re-grouping, moving, etc. Camp life has settled once again and we are only 3 in our room. Nearly lost our little home due to the shortage.
