25 Feb 1945, Leo Landau's wartime diary

The main subject of discussion is still on Red Cross supplies. The AVA MARU, a 10 thousand ton ship leaves Japan with supplies and we receive 37 tons of which half is clothing and the balance food in a very poor state. I don't believe the Red Cross are aware of this disgusting example of negligence.

We receive 50 lbs of fresh fish for 400 MEN! This is considered a issue.
