Had words with Oliver – over his fondness of getting people in awkward positions. Weill was at Aberdeen while Dad & his mother were at Kia Tack – just our bad luck. A few came back from Bowen Rd Hospital, looking much better. News in the paper is good. The Germans will be out of it, if the Russians keep up there good work – by the end of winter. Our letters are now restricted to 50 words. Planted some carrots & lettuce seeds – garden is going a bit slow: but now that the cold weather is settling in there will be improvement.
