• 1880s: Street first laid out
• 1880s: Street named
• 1889: First seen on maps without printed name 
• 1901: Street lengthened throughout the years until 1922
• 1922: Street's shape stabilised 
• 2012: Street demolished to be replaced by Ship Street Garden and Hopewell Park

Other informations:
1. There was a nullah from 22.27435, 114.16989 to 22.27489, 114.16984, which is roughly from the southern curve of Kennedy Road to near Nam Koo Terrace, it used to run next to I.L. 2070, 2094 and 2228. 

2. There was a hole behind an overgrown tree on the wall of the street, the hole was a metre high above the ground, some sources say it could be ARP tunnel portal, but it was located high up without any doors, it could possibly be a sewer tunnel by the fact that there was a nullah nearby.
