Any photos available showing the housing project (3 buildings) by the North Point pier? Were there any reasons for the demolition of the housing project only to make the site a parking lot?
There was a news report about the construction in 1962 of two piers at north point. One a vehicular pier. The other a passenger pier. The latter had two lines to Hunghom and Kowloon city. They started operation in 1963.

Another picture showing all the 3 blocks. Right hand side is shu kuk street. There was a kindergarden and bookstore along that street near the waterfront. Left hand side is Kam Hong street. The end of the street was of course the north point pier going to Hunghom and Kowloon city
