Gate at the southern end of the Kowloon Wharves leading to the Star Ferry Piers and (later) Bus Terminal. Above the gate, a semicircular sign is placed reading: "Through Gateway to Hongkong Ferry".

The gate was built probably in 1907 when the Star Ferry Terminal, TST (3rd generation) / Kowloon Public Pier [1907-c.1956] opened. It is likely visible on this postcard.

Later, possibly after WW2, the gate was reinforced and placed in between two buildings; one of these is the Customs Office - Kowloon [????- ].

The gate was dismantled c. 1965 when Star House was built (it opened in 1966).
