NAM SHA is located in Southern District (Address: 28 REPULSE BAY ROAD, HMA: Repulse Bay). The Date of Occupation starts from 1945.01.01. There are a total of 1 block, providing 1 residential unit. (source)

A white building with a tower high above Deep Water Bay. The date of occupation given is 1/1945 which is still during WW2. This is unusual or even questionable, but it seems as if the building was there in the late 1940s.

Other sources give the start of the occupation from April 2016. Possibly some refurbishment took place, as can be seen in a photo from March 2012.

Update 2026-01-17

Following the comments below, the building was likely constructed in 1937/38. Completion date adjusted accordingly.

When looking at the 1945 aerial photograph on Gwulo, there seems to be a building at the place of Nam Sha. Possibly the building was constructed before the war and occupied later.

The 1945 date seems to be a default year of occupation for all pre-war buildings due to the loss of land registry records during the Japanese Occupation.

Note: the current street index (page 609) gives for R.B.L. 399 the house number 28 Repulse Bay Road.

The Hong Kong Street Index 1936 (page 165) lists
R.B.L. 399 with the handwritten addition "A.D. 28/50 G 3[inside a circle]"

Possibly the end of construction in (19)28? Possibly constructed in 1937 or 1938 (see my comment below).

This would fit philk's comment above.
