What we know so far:
- He was in Hong Kong in the years 1926 & 1927, possibly longer.
- At that time he was a lance-corporal in the Royal Army Service Corps (RASC).
- Photos of him from those years show he didn't have any medals, suggesting he joined the army after the end of WWI.
