Hello everyone,

I would like some help with my dissertation project as a postgraduate student at HKU. My research focuses on old Japanese department stores in Hong Kong from the 1960s to the 1990s, including The Daimaru, Yaohan, Isetan, Matsuzakaya, and others.

I want to interview anyone with specific memories of these stores, particularly those who worked there or were frequent visitors. If you would like to participate, we can arrange an interview in Hong Kong, either in person or via Zoom.

Additionally, I am looking for old materials related to these stores, such as leaflets, photographs, and exhibition materials. If you have any items you would be willing to share for academic purposes, I would greatly appreciate it and will include your contribution in my acknowledgements.

If you are interested or have anything to share, please email me at u3643184@connect.hku.hk.

Thank you very much for your help!
