The map location and the photo are correct. In the early 70s the post was not permanently manned but served as accomodation for visiting Marine Police, The Village Patrol Unit and the Army who mainly occupied rounding up any illegal immigrants.
I stayed there a couple of times when I was OC VPU in 1972-3. There were no residents then but a couple would go over on weekends and public holidays to provide snacks and drinks to visitors.
