Hi everyone
Last year, I started a project - HK263 - to swim around every island in Hong Kong and share the city's rich history along the way. Last year, we managed 19, including Tung Ping Chau, Ninepins and Po Toi.
Our next adventure is some of the small islands around Clearwater Bay and southern Sai Kung - Steep Island, Trio Island, Ping Min Chau and perhaps Bluff Island, Town Island or Basalt Island.
If anyone has any stories and/or pictures of these islands they could share I would be really grateful.
We try and do a swim adventure most months, so I will likely post on this forum to seek information on other islands too if that's ok.
If anyone is a relatively strong swimmer and would like to join an adventure please let me know.
Many thanks for your support,
Simon Holliday

P.S. I know the number of islands in the Hong Kong archipelago is difficult to quantify given some have now been reclaimed, and also that an island has no standard international definition. Any thoughts on what the actual figure is (and how we might define and island as apposed to an islet, atol or rock) also gratefully received!
