Selling my great grandfather's ww2 collection

Submitted by Lewis on

My Great-Grandfather ( 1922-1994) owned a meat butchering shop in Central from 1958-1987.  When he was young, he was forced to leave HK back to Dongguan, China, due to the Japanese occupation. He had kept some coins and banknotes from WW2 in a box ( full of Japanese military yen) under his bed. It went into my father's collection, and I am planning to sell it, to fund my friend's birthday gift.

It consists of one ten cent King George coin from 1939, and one 5 cent coin from 1937. Both are in uncirculated condition.

Also a  silver 50 sen coin  from 1927, along with a 5 yen banknote from the Japanese occupation
