1974 is the approximate date of completion of Dragon House. (Comments welcome). In 1979, Victoria Barracks was returned to the Hong Kong Government.
The former Barracks area comprising the military quarters of Dragon House, Paget House and other buildings would become known as Queen's Line (today's Ching Yi To Barracks) and was retained by the Ministry of Defence after 1979.
