This is a link to an unpublished website I started as a graphic design student, in 2015 after the theft of some paintings by my deceased friend, the artist Donald Nield. I never changed the name of the site but over time it became the repository for my research for a biography of Nield, who I met in New York in 1969. He was born in Shanghai in 1924. His mother, Annie Urquhart was the half Scot half Chinese daughter, born in Kiukiang to Donald Urquhart an employee of the Chinese Imperial Maritime Customs Service, originally ftom Scotland. From the drop down menu the selection "The Life and Art of Donald Nield" his story includes some Urquhart family history in Shanghai and Hong Kong in the 1920's.
