I was recently shown a newspaper clipping from the Jewish Chronicle, dated March 31, 1961 (p. 22), that said that the HK government planned to clear 108 graves in the Colonial Cemetery in order to allow further burials to take place. The article goes on to say that the list (of who is getting dug up) is available for viewing at the HK Government Office in Trafalgar Square.
Is anyone aware of this? Any ideas where the list would be today?
Would the office in the HK…
Would the office in the HK Cemetery be able to help?
Or perhaps the Friends of Hong Kong Cemetery ?
Reburials?
I started with Sharon of the FHKC. She didn't know but she's looking into it too.
Reburials, 1961
