I was in Lisbon recently and decided to search for historical items relating to Macau whilst touring the city. Fortunately, the following website at :
https://getlisbon.com/discovering/marks-of-macau-in-lisbon/ captured some of the items that I wanted to view.
Lisbon
Moddsey - I was also in Lisbon last year and made a point of visiting the statue of João Maria Ferreira do Amaral that was relocated from outside the Casino Lisboa to a small residential estate next to the airport. I seem to remember there was a Macau museum as well, but sadly didn't have time to visit. Phil
Thanks Phil
Thanks Phil for sight of the film stills. I covered quite a number of museums, including the Maritime Museum but unfortunately not the Macau Museum. Cheers!
Portuguese Cruiser “Adamastor”
The Adamastor Rock and the Portuguese cruiser “Adamastor” are mentioned here on Gwulo.
The Maritime Museum in Lisbon has a good collection of information on the cruiser “Adamastor”, including models of the vessel and paintings. See: https://www.maritima-et-mechanika.org/maritime/lisboa/MuseuMarinha-Navy.html
