37 Queen's Road Central [????-c.1955]

Building on the northern side of Queen’s Road Central on M.L. 10. Possibly built on the place of Bowra & Co.

It has four square columns or piers. A bit more than half-way up they have a square capital (possibly not the correct term) without any applications, and at the upper end another square capital. On top is a horizontal beam that supports the balcony above.

It is easy to distinguish from its neighbour houses (33 and 35) by the different types of columns used.

In the 1920s, Madame Flint resided there. The Dragon Seed Department Store and Dragon Light (龍光行) were located at 37 QRC before mid 1950s. Today's Yu To Sang Building (余道生行, 37 QRC) was erected in 1957. (source).
