The upgrade should:
- Preserve data: don't lose any of the old site's information as we move it to the new site.
- Preserve functionality: keep the key features from the old site.
eg if we look at a Place page, point 1 means we don't lose its latitude and longitude. Point 2 means we can still use a map to set the Place's location, and draw its outline.
- Enhance: Add features if they make the site easier to use, and will be used often.
- Simplify: Despite points 2 & 3, some features are rarely used and may be better removed to make the site easier to navigate and maintain.
