Ann LESBIREL [c.1872-1918]

Second wife of Charles John Francis Lesbirel. Her grave inscription gives her age at death in February 1918 as 45 years: "Our dearly beloved Mother who fell asleep on 13 February 1918 aged 45 years"

But Carl Smith card 0011904 GIF gives her age at baptism on 16.5.1886 as 18. A second date of 1890 is also given. That still means a discrepancy of 4 or 5 years for Ann's birth date. I quote:

"LMS Chinese Congre. Registry. No. 253, Ann, wife of Chas. Lesbirel bapt. 16.5.1886, aged 18, No. 23 St. Francis St. 1890, here." 

"Prob. File No. 58 of 1915 (4/3128) Ann Lesbirel, of Kowloon, to my three daughters, Alice Bryson, Annie Mead and Mabel Lesbirel, said Alice Bryson, extrx. 16 Feb. 1915. Affidavit 26 Mar. 1918 by Alice Bryson."
