The concrete ruins are in a cutting that matches the placement of the 1939 DEL constructed to serve the Aberdeen Battery. The slabs are haphazardly placed and their connection to the DEL is circumstantial without further information. However, the iron rivets, colour and composition do suggest that it dates from the construction of the Battery.
