Postcard "Proclamation day: King Edward VII"

Caption: Governor Blake proclaims King Edward VII as King of Great Britain and Colonies.

Update: according to moddsey's comment, this event cannot be the proclamation of Edward VII which happened on 1901-01-29. The date is therefore set to the 1900s. And the place is Murray Parade Ground. For comparison, see here.

I think the crowd of spectators are on Murray Parade Ground. The cricket pitch would be closer to the buildings on the waterfront.

The caption of the postcard appears misleading as it mentions "Proclamation Day" of King Edward VII. The event was held in 1901. However, the Hong Kong Club Annexe building erected circa 1903 can be seen.
