Re: Hilden
I really like this house. It is owned by a foreigner. I saw his name once listed in the newspaper, but didn't recognize who he is or what he does.
You can see good pictures of this fine house by searching for Severn 8:

Re: hilden
yes it is owned by an english couple. i know the guy but i've never met his wife. i think he is mixed english with german. i've met him a few times and each time he always mentions his vegetable garden. i'd say he's about 40-50 years old and very 'normal' which is not what you'd expect of someone who is sitting on a house worth hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars.
Shell Oil also owned Hilden

Re: Hilden
Was'nt it owned by a German, Dr.Zeo? If so, he had two tame gibbons that my friends and I took out for walks.
Hilden or The Pink House, 5 Pollock's Path
The SCMP carried this very interesting article on Hilden yesterday ( https://m.scmp.com/magazines/post-magazine/long-reads/article/2162050/h… ).

As discussed, demolished
As discussed, demolished early 2019, but some interesting background on the house and its last owner, Rosamond and Charles Brown.

I found this link to the SMCP article mentioned in comments. Those links above are broken. This one works at the time of writing. Thanks to the Wayback Machine.
The article is well worth reading. It gives a real feeling for the old Mansions on The Peak, and their history and residents. Unfortunately Hilden was demolished in 2019, not long after this article was written.
