As seen here , the Water Police Boat Basin was located on the waterfront to the west of the Water Police Station and sandwiched in between the godowns of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown Co. Ltd

Sui Geng, The Hong Kong Marine Police 1841-1950:

The Boat Basin came into service in 1885, a year after the opening of the new headquarters of the Water Police Station

Annual Reports of Hong Kong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown Co. Ltd

1915 - Commencement of the proposed new godown could not commence until the Police Basin is handed over and filled-in, which is expected to be the latter end of the year. HK Telegraph 4 March 1915 refers.

1917 - The filling-in of the old Police Basin, besides joining-up the Company's property on either side of this site, provides the necessary land for erecting a modern three-storey godown when the opportunity arises. HK Telegraph 22 February 1917 refers.
