Probably Col. Hugh Blackwell Layard Dowbiggin (1884-1966) was also a resident later on as his son Richard (born 1916) gives Derrington as his address according to the Indian Army Officers list at http://www.unithistories.com/officers/IndianArmy_officers_D01.html

Noted in 1930, the name "Derrington" is used for a residence at 3 Bowen Road, next to the Bowen Road Tram Station.
