The third generation Queen's Garden buildings were first occupied in 08/1991. So I think that second generation houses were demolished around 1988/1990.
Is there something wrong about this marker being near Connaught Road? The pointer does not seem to match up with the views from the photos. In particular, the 3rd generation Queen's Garden pointer is up on Hornsey Road, not near the shore at all.
Queens Garden Flats were Government Quarters built to relieve the shortage of accommodation for civil servants immediately after WW2. Their design was based on and similar to Leighton Hill Government Flats. By the end of September 1948, "sixty percent of the building up to first floor level was completed".

Marker?
Hi there,
Is there something wrong about this marker being near Connaught Road? The pointer does not seem to match up with the views from the photos. In particular, the 3rd generation Queen's Garden pointer is up on Hornsey Road, not near the shore at all.
