In 1979, Victoria Barracks was returned to the Hong Kong Government.
The former Barracks area comprising the military quarters of Paget House, Dragon House and other buildings would become known as Queen's Line (today's Ching Yi To Barracks) and was retained by the Ministry of Defence after 1979.
