1929 Punjab Building
Further mention is made in the Hong Kong Daily Press dated 16 April 1929 that Sir Robert Ho Tung had purchased the Punjab Building(s) on Granville Road.
"Punjab Building was originally the neat and spruce two-storey quarters of the European Officers of the Indian Regiment which always formed part of the garrison. Behind the block were tennis courts and gardens.
The building has however, fallen on evil days and besides being badly in need of repair is somewhat of an anomaly among the big residential quarters on all sides.
At present the block is inhabited by members of the Indian and Filipino communities."
