There are actually quite a load of Squatter villages in the area. and the Holy Cross Village is one of them. I could not recall all the names except this one and Chin Shui Ma Tau Tsuen (淺水碼頭村), literally means the village of the pier on a shallow shore.
There was sea side squatters like those still exist in Tai O along the Aldrich Bay area too.
