The colonial style family home of Fok To Kai was built in 1914. The house was taken over during the Japanese Occupation.
Fok was a well respected government contractor who won the contract to construct the Yaumatei Typhoon Shelter under Governor May. Fok was also a major donor of the Tung Wah Eastern Hospital.

70 Kennedy Road
This is very interesting. I've recently started genealogical research and found out that my great grandfather (and grandfather) lived at 70 Kennedy Road (IL2074) from 1914 until he passed in the 1930s; the family remained there until the 1950s. My great grandfather was also in the construction business and some leads from PRO/GRS seem to suggest that he had dealings with Mr Fok. Any further helpful information, photos or source materials would be very helpful and much appreciated.

Camera location can be identified as No. 72 Kennedy Road from the buildings and mountains.

The building was likely…
The building was likely demolished in 1978 or 1979. The 1979 map on hkmaps.hk refers CIP (construction in progress) May 1979.
Re: The building was likely…
Yes, interior works started in the first half of 1977. Together with the one at No. 70, the whole building was demolished in the second half of 1977.
