It was the residence of the Chu (Tsui in Cantonese pronunciation) 徐家大宅 in the 1960s. My junior schoolmate Michael Chu 徐家善 lived there, his elder brothers are Winston Chu 徐家善 and KK Chu 徐家儉 who are both solicitors, then of Messrs.  K K & Winston Chu, Solicitors. Michael was a Scout of our 48HKG and his huge basement became our Quartermaster's Store for our tents, cooking sets, scout staves and all sort of gadgets.  He has a beautiful sister Angelica Chu who had a Dalmatian dog and was the childhood fancy of my another scout.  Their Mom 徐老太 was my parents' friend. Their cars' registration numbers were all 103, but Michael said it was because of the "8 13 Incident" of the 1937 Sino Japanese War which caused their relocation from Shanghai to Hong Kong.
