MCL JP Cinema was the successor to the former Jade Theatre and Pearl Theatre [1969-1998]. After an extensive reconstruction to the interior of the building, redecoration, and installation of the morden technology, the cinema started operating on July 13, 1999. The cinema closed on April 18, 2017.
