He is buried in St Michael's Cemetery, Happy Valley, Hong Kong, with 8 other people named on his tomb-stone. So as his grandfather was my gr gr gr grandfather, I would like to find out more about him and them. I have found the burials dates from browsing FamilySearch, but this tells me nothing of the relationships, or lives. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I know he was Clerk of Works from 1863 till his death in 1880.

I have been in HK for a few days, but have only found anything online as mentioned. Home is New Zealand.

A search here brings up a few mentions of a W Prestage, he lived in the Gardner's cottage which is where the present day Albany building is.

His widow lived in Belilios terrace in 1904. She received a payout from the government in 1881 for service rendered by her husband

In 1880 Ward Prestage was the Honorary Secretary of the Vincent De Paul Society, a lay Catholic charitable organization
