Address: 1 Shanghai Street or 23 Austin Road, Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong. Its dual addresses put it squarely at the northwest corner of the intersection of Shanghai Street and Austin Road. A 2011 Google photo shows a travel agency was its occupant.
Shops in this area do not have large floor space so it was amazing that they could squeeze so many seats into it. This Shanghai Theatre did not last long. It started operating in February 1994 and was closed some time in late 1990s. For the purpose of this page, the closing date is estimated to be January 1998.
