I'm a journalist working on a story involving abandoned homes and am appealing for information on a house on Lamma.
The aforementioned property is a dilapidated family home in Luk Chau Tsuen, Lamma (on mainland Lamma, not the isle of the same name off the coast).

I have been told that this home once housed a wealthy family, who once upon a time shipped European furniture to the home and had hopes of developing it into a luxury property. According to villagers, the home has stood empty since time immemorial as the family apparently moved abroad and abandoned it.

I passed by this beautiful sort of mixed chinese western style with art deco element yesterday. The wire at the door was loosen and i was able to sneek in and have a look!
The inside is rather traditional Chinese village house style although it is already quite badly damaged. The tiles of the floor are classic. There is a large wooden structure in the middle for sort of worshipping, and it seperate the front and the back (rooms and kitchen). Stairs to second floor is on the right side after entering the house, but it has almost disappeared. There is no way reaching the second floor and part of second floor has basically collapsed. The other things left include a big oval shape fridge with a lot of bowls and plates inside. Some furnitures inside the room.
