The second Empress Theatre was located in the shopping centre of the Pioneer Centre which was built on the adjoining sites of the former Royal Theatre and Empress Theatre. According to the Wikipedia source, the former Empress Theatre 凱聲戲院 opened on March 21, 1970 but its closing date is not available. I believed the former Empress operated until 1994 assuming it took one year to construct the next Empress Theatre. If the two Empress theatres are considered as one business, the operating period is 1970-1999 (see next paragraph), and it is used for this page.
The second Empress Theatre operated during the period August 3, 1995 - January 1, 1999.
