This page, for simplicity, discusses two theatres because they occupied essentially the same space in the building but operated in different periods. They had slightly different addresses.
The Aberdeen Theatre was located at 17-19 Nam Ning Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong, and had a seating capacity of 859. It opened to business on January 22, 1982 and closed sometime in 1994.
Subsequently, redevelopments of the space took place. A new theatre called UA Aberdeen Cinema started operating with the address 13-23 Nam Ning Road on December 18, 1996 until some time in early 2000s. This theatre had two screens with seating capacity of 338 for one and 321 for the other.
The site is now occupied by Aberdee Centre ParknShop. For the purpose of this page, the operating period is considered to be January 22, 1982 - some time in 2003.
