Laneway between Cumberland & Stafford Roads, Kowloon Tong [c.1930- ]

There is a photo on the link below (which refers to a current HKU research project) which is labelled only "Kowloon Tong in 1930s".

I am not sure exactly where it was taken, but one guess is the spot shown in the modern photo, which I will attach soon. This shows the entrance to the back laneway between Cumberland Road and Stafford Road, taken from Essex Crescent. The white-topped stone walls seem to be very similar to those seen in one or two other Cumberland Road photos of the same era, they appear to have a similar gradient, and Beacon Hill is in the background.  The only other place it could possibly be, I think, is the laneway between Suffolk Road and Somerset Road.
