For English speakers Hop Yat Church is referred to as Church of Christ in China. Nothing to do with American Board Mission-Congregational Church although one of the founders-Mr. Jan Con Sang, was the only Christian/Protestant Christian who was converted in America before returning to China(Hong Kong) in 1902. 1894 occupation title in the U.S.A. was Chinese Laborer. 1927 occupation title on U.S. Dept. of Labor record inside the Anti Chinese Case Files of the U.S. National Archive was Merchant/Missionary, also one of the founders of Sincere Department Store which support the building of the Hop Yat Church in 1920s. Hop Yat Church's English name is Church of Christ in China-Hong Kong.

JC, I'm not sure this is right:

Hop Yat Church's English name is Church of Christ in China-Hong Kong.

I understand the 'Church of Christ in China' to be the name of the organisation that has many churches in Hong Kong, including the Hop Yat Church.

e.g. if you look at the law incorporating the church, https://oelawhk.lib.hku.hk/items/show/3497, the name is: 'Hop Yat Church of The Church of Christ in China'.

There are other local churches that are part of the same organisation, and also include 'Church of Christ in China' in their names: https://www.google.com/maps/search/church+of+christ+in+china/@22.337172…
