This place marks the start of Route 26 - HK Mainland Defence Ruins and also marks one of the main entry points into the Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve along the old Tai Po Road.
You can get here by catching the 28K Green minibus from Tai Po Market East Rail station which terminates at Sha Tin City Hall (so you can catch it from there also).
