One of a series of BAAG telegrams deposited by Paul Tsui at HK PRO (HKMS30). The source of these Telegrams should be Y.C. Liang (BAAG Agent "PL"). This one indicates that PL was to takeover from PHOENIX (Dr. Gosano) as Head of Team in Macao; and NITRAM (Nelson Ma No.71) and his Fung Bei were to come under PL. This runs contrary to Nelson Ma's claim that he himself was the Head of Team. BLUE was Col Ride.
PHOENIX had been asking for relief from 1943-10 because he as well as Consul General Reeves were being closely watched by the Japanese. NITRAM & Fung remained in Macao as part of PL's team until after the Japanese Surrender in August & September 1945.
The other telegrams mostly concerned the Japanese Surrender as well as the resumption of British Administration, inlcuding PL heading to HK to deliver the Secy of State instructions to F.Gimson to form the Provisional Government.
